Specialty MGA Africa & Middle East, the managing general agent that specialises in providing additional capacity for specialty lines of business, has added to its team with the appointment of Mohammed Rabie as Senior Underwriter for Property and Engineering.
Rabie brings with him 20 years of experience in the international construction and (re)insurance markets. Having begun his career as an engineer and construction manager at companies including Bureau Veritas France and Mkontrol, Rabie built up his experience within the construction field before moving into the insurance sector. His roles within the sector have included managing and developing the property and engineering business portfolio of AtlantaSanad in Morocco for over 12 years.
Commenting on Rabie’s appointment, Group Chairman, Manoj Kumar said:

Mohammed’s deep technical expertise and extensive experience in underwriting across the construction and real estate sectors within North Africa and the Middle East make him the perfect fit for this role.

Having worked across international markets throughout his career, Rabie brings with him a global network of brokers, agents and insurers, across North Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
In his new role, he will be providing comprehensive (re)insurance solutions for construction and engineering ventures across the MENA region, supporting the local insurance and reinsurance sectors with finding additional capacity.
Rabie will be based in Specialty MGA’s Casablanca office and will report to the CEO of Specialty MGA Africa and the Middle East, Youssef Fassi Fihri.
